Before I go on about food, here's a minor note as to why I haven't been shooting lately--been prepping up to go back to school! I was so against it for photography, but since I do love skincare and need a license in order to practice, I will be going to beauty school full-time for the next 5 months!

Okay, who doesn't love food? A terribly late holiday food post, but since I've been taking a break from photography, all I've been doing is eating, baking, cooking (with gaming and reading in-between). Here's all of the stuff I've cooked up lately! Honestly this post has absolutely nothing to do with photography, but since I've hit a dry spell with submitting work on DA (although I have a few finished editorials I can't post online until they are published), I've decided to post some photos of food. Hey, it's a photo post, okay?
All photos are on my Instagram, I use mine to post BTS photos, random stuff and food, but lately it really consists of all food pictures LOL.
Chicken katsu and Japanese curry
Baked cookie s'mores
Red velvet truffles
Chicken tikka masala with jeera rice
Four cheese egg soufflé
Chicken pot pieHope I made some of you hungry! All of these were made from scratch, so I'm quite proud, considering that I previously didn't believe in my cooking and baking skills. I have been seeing a therapist lately and we've both concluded that cooking has become an alternative healthy outlet for me when upset, like photography, but since I've been burnt out from all the work I did in 2012, I thought it was good to take a break for a while and recharge. In the meantime, I'll be busying myself with school and honing my cooking skills! Honestly, I've been cooking so much that I do want to take a few culinary classes at my local community college. Other than that, I've also tried out Krav Maga, since physical activity is really important in keeping healthy and happy. Perhaps when I get really into it, I'd like to try Jeet Kune Do next?
So anyway, apologies again for not posting much new works. Seems like this year for me will have a lot of self-searching and rebuilding! I will be doing photography still after things are in full swing, but probably less fashion work and more personal, just to get back in touch with my roots as to why I fell in love with it in the first place.
And yes, you made me hungry.
The wife and I've been cooking at home more ourselves. I've always loved cooking, but she's just really starting to discover how much fun it can be trying out new recipes and making something unexpected from the ingredients at hand. For example, the coconut flour and banana pancakes she made this morning.
Do what you have to for you and the rest of it will fall into place.
